MEMBERSHIP
PHI MU ALPHA
Luke is an active collegiate brother of the Rho Kappa Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity. Luke is the current President of his chapter, and he has served on the E-Board as Warden in past semesters. Luke loves being involved in Phi Mu Alpha because it is simultaneously a way of advancing music through fraternity and advancing fraternity through music.
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MUSIC TEACHERS (NAFME)
Luke is a collegiate member of the National Association for Music Education. Luke has previously been to the National NAfME Conference in 2017 as a student, getting to meet with the then President of NAfME, Denese Obergaard.
AMERICAN CHORAL DIRECTOR’S ASSOCIATION (ACDA)
Luke is a member of the American Choral Director's Association. Luke has previously been to the National ACDA Conference in 2019 as a performer, but he still got the ability to go to talks and walk the show floor in Kansas City, Missouri. Luke also participated in a reading session that was sponsored by this school's ACDA chapter in 2017.
A CAPPELLA EDUCATOR'S ASSOCIATION (AEA)
To combine his love for a cappella and his dream job of a music educator, Luke is a member of the A Cappella Educator's Assocation. AEA's job is to help educators to expand a cappella's influence around the country through music educators' drives.
CONTEMPORARY A CAPPELLA SOCIETY OF AMERICA (CASA)
Luke is also a member the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America. CASA's position is to create a community of people who love a cappella and want to see it flourish.
BARBERSHOP HARMONY SOCIETY
Luke is a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society. As the name implies, it's designed to help spread barbershop music to where it is not overly seen. Luke wants to be able to utilize barbershop's techniques in a classroom some day.
